Planning a route
A route through the tasks of a chosen day or week — in Google Maps or as a GPX file.
On the task map choose Day or Week. Tasks with a date and a location form a numbered route — a dashed line joins them on the map, and next to it you see the stops with distances. In the week view each day has its own route (a multi-day task counts on its start day).
Route settings
- Start: My location — Google Maps will guide you from wherever you are. After clicking “Show my location” we also use it for the order and distances (only on this page — we do not save it).
- Start: First task — the route starts at the first task’s place.
- Order: By time — the order in which tasks follow each other in the calendar.
- Order: Shortest — we arrange the places so that the total distance is as short as possible (task times are then ignored).
- Travel by — car, on foot or bike (for Google Maps).
Navigation
Open in Google Maps opens a ready route with all stops — on a phone in the Google Maps app, where you can start navigation straight away. Google Maps accepts up to 10 points at once, so a longer route is split into parts. The GPX button downloads a route file for other navigation apps.
Tip: Distances in the list are measured in a straight line — Google Maps will show the real distance and travel time. Tasks with a date but no location are listed below the route — click to add a place.
