Recurring tasks and rotating people
A task that comes back by itself after it is done — also with people taking turns.
A recurring task comes back by itself after it is done — e.g. taking out the trash every week. Families and flatmates can add rotation, so different people take turns.
- Open a task and tick Repeat after completion. Set how many days, weeks or months it should come back after.
- Optionally turn on Rotate people and click people in the order they should take turns (for a board with at least two people).
- When you move the task to “Done”, the next one appears in “To do” — with the date moved by the interval and the next person in the queue.
- The next task has the same title, description, times and location. If the date would fall in the past (e.g. the task was done late), it moves to the nearest today or future date.
- A task without a date comes back without a date. After the last person in the queue the rotation starts over, and people who left the board are skipped.
- Dependencies, reminders, project and comments are not copied to the next task.
- Monthly repeats from the 31st move to the last day of a shorter month and stay there.
